Bradi Rex
Farm Educator REad bio
Bradi Rex is the Farm Educator at Learning 4 Life Farm. Bradi is passionate about advocating for agriculture and educating students on its importance. Agriculture is an industry most people would say they don’t have a place in, but that is far from the truth. The industry offers many different career paths or hobbies, with something for everyone. Bradi grew up on her family’s 5thgeneration farm in southeastern Ohio raising beef cattle. She got her start in 4-H and joined FFA in high school. She is a recent graduate from The Ohio State University ATI with an Associates of Science in agriscience education and is pursuing a bachelor’s on the Columbus campus. Bradi enjoys cheering on the Buckeyes and spending time on the family farm. |
Jamie Kemp MPAS, MPH
Director of Farm Operations read bio
Jamie Kemp is the Director of Farm Operations at Learning 4 Life Farm. Jamie believes that experiential learning with nature and animals is essential for the health and wellbeing of our children. Hands on learning builds life skills, empathy and provides a foundation for working collaboratively in the workplace. Prior to working on the farm, Jamie enjoyed(s) a 20 year career as a Physician Assistant working in the Central Ohio region. In 2023 she changed course and chose to embrace her love of the outdoors and working with children to take on her new role at the farm. When she isn't working, Jamie enjoys finding new adventures to explore with her husband, cheering on her two children's sporting events and playing with their two dogs, Zola and Lindi. Jamie holds a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Nebraska Medical Center & a Masters degree in Public Health from the Ohio State University. Brooke Smith
Program Facilitator Read bio
Brooke Smith is a Program Facilitator at Learning 4 Life Farm who is going to be helping with harnessing the Alpacas and transporting them in the warmer months. Brooke believes that animals can be very beneficial in a kids or adults life. They can help bring children out of their shell and it can help improve the child’s learning and development. She has been working with animals for many years but this is her first educational farm position. Brooke is a senior at a local high school who is going to college in the fall. When Brooke isn’t working at the farm she is showing animals and taking her two dogs for walks. |
Amanda Tompkins
Director of Farm Education Read bio
Amanda Tompkins is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a minor in Studio Arts. She holds a teaching certification in the state of Ohio, and has worked with special needs students since 2009. Having been active in the 4-H program in Licking county since the age of 8, Amanda has experience with many different species of animals. Most notably, she showed registered holstein cattle in Licking county, and also at the state and national levels. Amanda is excited to share her love of learning, animals, and the outdoors with students who visit L4L farm! Amanda lives in Alexandria, Ohio with her husband and two children. She plans to continue the tradition of raising animals with her own children. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, reading, being outdoors, and hiking. |
