Learning 4 Life Farm Accessibility Statement

At Learning 4 Life Farm, we are committed to creating accessible opportunities where individuals of varying abilities can learn, increase confidence, and develop meaningful skills. Accessibility is an ongoing process of learning and improving our practices and physical site accessibility.

As a working farm, some areas of our facilities present unique challenges and are not yet fully ADA accessible. We are working to improve accessibility through a plan developed in partnership with accessibility professionals from Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), AgrAbility Ohio, Accessible Ohio, Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities (LCBDD), and OCALI.

We believe accessibility is an ongoing process of listening, learning, and improving. As a working educational farm, some areas of our campus present unique challenges, and we are not yet fully ADA accessible. We are actively working to improve accessibility through a comprehensive accessibility plan developed in partnership with an accessibility professional from Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD).

Our goal is to reduce barriers whenever practical and to create experiences that can be adapted to meet a wide range of needs. Current accessibility features and supports include:

  • Indoor and outdoor sensory spaces.
  • Portable accessibility ramps for select areas.
  • Adaptive tools and modified learning activities.
  • Access to assistive technology and communication devices through partnerships such as OCALI, when available and appropriate.
  • Adult changing tables at select events through our partnership with the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
  • Collaboration with participants, families, schools, and caregivers to discuss accommodation requests and identify available options.

Because every individual’s needs are different, we encourage visitors to contact us before attending a program or event if they have questions about accessibility or would like to discuss accommodations. While we may not be able to meet every request, we value open communication and will work collaboratively to identify available resources and practical solutions whenever possible.

Learning 4 Life Farm is committed to continually evaluating and improving the accessibility of our programs, facilities, and events. We welcome feedback as we continue building a more accessible farm for learning and individual growth.
